# Withdraw from Hyperliquid

> How to withdraw USDC from Hyperliquid to your wallet on Arbitrum with Hypertake: the $1 fee, $2 minimum, signatures and timing

Source: https://hypertake.net/docs/money/withdraw · Last updated: 2026-10-17

A withdrawal sends **USDC from your Hyperliquid account to your connected wallet on Arbitrum One**, through Hyperliquid's own bridge. Hyperliquid takes a **$1 fee** from the amount, you sign once in your wallet with no gas (twice on a standard account), and the USDC usually arrives in **about five minutes**.

- **$1**: Hyperliquid's withdrawal fee, taken from the amount
- **$2**: Smallest withdrawal in Hypertake
- **≈ 5 min**: Until it arrives on Arbitrum
- **$0**: Gas: it's a signature, not a transaction

**Where a withdrawal goes**

Your Hyperliquid account (free USDC) → withdraw3 (signed by your wallet) → Hyperliquid's bridge (a short check, $1 fee) → Your wallet (USDC on Arbitrum One, the connected address)

Withdrawals use Hyperliquid's own bridge, not Relay. The destination is always the wallet you're connected with.

## Where the money goes

Hypertake withdraws only to **the address you're connected with**, as **USDC on Arbitrum One**. There's no address field, by design: a typo or a pasted address can't send your money somewhere else. To move money to an exchange or another person, withdraw to your wallet first, then send it from there.

> **Note: Send isn't Withdraw**
> In Hyperliquid's own app, **Send** moves funds to another account on Hyperliquid; it doesn't take them to Arbitrum ([Hyperliquid FAQ](https://hyperliquid.gitbook.io/hyperliquid-docs/support/faq/withdrawal-issues/withdrawal-has-not-arrived-in-my-wallet)). Hypertake has only Withdraw.

## What you can withdraw

You can withdraw what's **free**: USDC that isn't in a position or held by an open order. Both screens show it as **Free to withdraw**.

| Money | Can you withdraw it? | To free it |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Available USDC | Yes | Nothing to do |
| Margin in open perps positions | No | Close or reduce the position |
| USDC held by open orders | No | Cancel the order (Portfolio → Open orders) |
| Outcome shares | No | Sell them, or wait for settlement to pay them into your balance |

_On a standard account, free USDC is your spot balance plus what perps lets you withdraw._

## Withdraw on desktop

1. **Open Withdraw** On **Portfolio**, press **Withdraw** (it's also in your address menu). The left side, **From your Hyperliquid account**, shows Free to withdraw, Account value, In positions ("sell to withdraw it") and Account type: "Unified: 1 signature" or "Standard: 2 signatures".
2. **Check the destination** The right side, **To your wallet**, shows your address and "USDC on Arbitrum · your connected wallet".
3. **Enter an amount** Type it or press **Max**. Two lines show what happens: **You receive $49.00 on Arbitrum** and "Hyperliquid's fee $1.00, taken from the amount". Below $2 the line reads "Withdrawals start at $2."
4. **Press Withdraw and confirm in your wallet** The button names the amount, for example **Withdraw $50.00**. Under it: "One confirmation in your wallet, no gas. Arrives in about 5 minutes." (or two confirmations on a standard account). The status line follows each stage (listed below).
Result: The window closes and a notice says "Withdrawing $50.00 · $49.00 USDC is on its way to 0x… on Arbitrum. It usually arrives in about 5 minutes." When the USDC reaches your wallet: "Withdrawal arrived".

| Status line | What's happening |
| --- | --- |
| Confirm in your wallet: moving the USDC to your withdrawable balance (1 of 2). | Standard accounts only: moving USDC from spot to perps, where Hyperliquid's withdrawal draws from |
| Confirm the withdrawal in your wallet. | Signing the withdrawal itself |
| Sending to Hyperliquid… | Hyperliquid is accepting the signed withdrawal |

_The desktop Withdraw window's stages, in order._

## Withdraw on your phone

1. **Open Withdraw** Tap **Withdraw** on Portfolio (or Account → Money → Withdraw). The button is off while less than $2 is free. The top shows **$X free to withdraw**; tap it for what counts.
2. **Check the destination** A locked row reads **To your wallet · 0x…**, "USDC on Arbitrum". It can't be changed.
3. **Enter the amount** Use the keypad or the slider. The line shows **Hyperliquid fee $1.00 · You receive $49.00 · ~5 min**. An amber note warns you if the withdrawal leaves little margin for open perps, or leaves less than the $10 smallest perps order.
4. **Review** Tap **Review · $50.00**. The review shows You receive, To, Fee ("Hyperliquid's, taken from the amount"), Arrives (About 5 minutes) and Left to trade, then "Withdrawals can't be reversed."
5. **Confirm in MetaMask** (Or your wallet's name.) The waiting screen says "Sign the withdrawal · no gas"; on a standard account it first asks "Move USDC to perps (a signature, no gas)", step 1 of 2.
Result: A notice, "Withdrawing $50.00 · About 5 minutes · you can leave this screen", turns into "Withdrawal arrived · 49.00 USDC in your wallet on Arbitrum". It's listed in Portfolio → History with a receipt.

## One signature or two

| Your account | Signatures | Why |
| --- | --- | --- |
| **Unified** (or portfolio margin) | 1: the withdrawal (`withdraw3`) | One balance, so the withdrawal draws on it directly |
| **Standard**, with enough withdrawable in perps | 1: the withdrawal | Hyperliquid's withdrawal draws on the perps balance |
| **Standard**, with the money in spot | 2: a transfer from spot to perps (`usdClassTransfer`), then the withdrawal | The USDC has to be in perps before it can leave |

_Both signatures come from your own wallet. The trading key can't withdraw or transfer: Hyperliquid accepts these only with your main wallet's signature. See [Unified account](https://hypertake.net/docs/money/unified-account.md)._

**A withdrawal from a unified account**

Participants: You, Your wallet, Hyperliquid, Arbitrum One.

1. You → Your wallet: Sign "Withdraw": your address, the amount, the time (no gas, no network switch)
2. Your wallet → Hyperliquid: The signed withdrawal goes to Hyperliquid, straight from your browser
3. Hyperliquid → Hyperliquid: Takes the amount from your balance, keeps the $1 fee
4. Hyperliquid → Arbitrum One: The bridge pays the rest to your address after a short check (about 5 minutes)
5. Arbitrum One → You: USDC is in your wallet

## Fees and timing

Hyperliquid charges **$1** per withdrawal, taken from the amount, and says withdrawals "take approximately 5 minutes to finalize" ([Exchange endpoint](https://hyperliquid.gitbook.io/hyperliquid-docs/for-developers/api/exchange-endpoint)); its USDC page quotes 3–4 minutes ([USDC](https://hyperliquid.gitbook.io/hyperliquid-docs/for-developers/api/usdc)). Hypertake charges nothing and sets a **$2 minimum**, because below that the fee is most of the withdrawal.

After you sign, Hypertake checks your wallet's USDC on Arbitrum every 15 seconds for up to 20 minutes and tells you when it lands. Until then, Portfolio → Deposits & withdrawals shows the withdrawal as **Sending**. If it takes longer, you'll see "Withdrawal still on its way": Hyperliquid's bridge is slower than usual, and the money will still arrive.

**Example: Leo takes $50 out**
- Leo's unified account has $120 of free USDC and two open outcome positions.
- He withdraws $50. His wallet asks for one signature; there's no gas.
- Hyperliquid keeps its $1 fee. About five minutes later, 49 USDC is in his wallet on Arbitrum One.
- His outcome positions are untouched, and $70 stays free to trade.

Flow: $50 from Leo's Hyperliquid balance → $1 Hyperliquid fee → 49 USDC to his own address on Arbitrum One

> **Warning: Withdrawals can't be reversed**
> The USDC goes to the wallet you're connected with. Before you sign, make sure that's a wallet you control on Arbitrum One. If you plan to send it on to an exchange, check that the exchange accepts USDC on Arbitrum One.

### How much does it cost to withdraw from Hyperliquid?

$1, Hyperliquid's fee, taken from the amount. Hypertake charges nothing, and there's no gas: you sign a message, not a transaction.

### How long does a withdrawal take?

About five minutes in most cases (Hyperliquid's docs say 3–5). Hypertake tells you when it reaches your wallet.

### Can I withdraw to an exchange or a different address?

Not directly. Hypertake withdraws only to your connected wallet. Withdraw there, then send it on from your wallet.

### Why is Withdraw greyed out?

Less than $2 is free to withdraw. Money in positions or held by open orders doesn't count until you close or cancel them.

### Can I withdraw ETH or another token?

No. Withdrawals are USDC on Arbitrum One.

### My withdrawal hasn't arrived. What now?

Give it up to 20 minutes, then check your address on Arbiscan and on Hyperliquid's explorer. Hyperliquid's [withdrawal FAQ](https://hyperliquid.gitbook.io/hyperliquid-docs/support/faq/withdrawal-issues/withdrawal-has-not-arrived-in-my-wallet) covers the rarer cases.

### Could the trading key withdraw my money?

No. A withdrawal needs your main wallet's signature every time. See [The trading key](https://hypertake.net/docs/security/trading-key.md).

- [Deposit](https://hypertake.net/docs/money/deposit.md): Bring money back in from Arbitrum.
