# The perps terminal

> A tour of Hypertake's perps terminal: live chart, order book, trade flow, positions, prediction overlay and phone screens

Source: https://hypertake.net/docs/perps/the-terminal · Last updated: 2026-10-17

**Hypertake's perps terminal puts a streaming chart, Hyperliquid's order book, your positions and the order form on one screen.** Your entry, liquidation, take profit and stop loss are drawn on the chart, every change previews there before you confirm, and an optional layer plots what Polymarket and Hypertake's own markets expect the price to do.

_Illustration: A scripted demo of the perps terminal: a BTC chart streaming, an order form with $200 at 10× leverage, the entry line, a take profit at 81,150 and the liquidation line drawn on the chart._

## The layout on desktop

- **The bar**: The market selector and its figures: Mark, Oracle, 24h change, 24h volume, Open interest, Funding / countdown.
- **Chart and book**: The chart, with the order book beside it.
- **Workspace**: Tabs under the chart: Positions, Open orders, History, Predictions.
- **Right sidebar**: The order form, or the position editor while you edit a position.

## The chart

- **Live price:** follows the mid of the best bid and ask, several times a second, over candles. Windows: **Live**, **1H**, **1D** (the default), **1W**, **1M**, **1Y**. Scroll or pinch to zoom; drag to look back.
- **Your levels:** entry in your side's colour, liquidation in amber, take profit and stop loss with the P&L at each.
- **Drafts:** the liquidation of the order you're setting up (drag it to set leverage or amount), its take profit and stop loss, and _from → to_ arrows for any change to an open position.
- **Trade flow:** each trade rises up the left of the chart in dollars, mint for buys and rose for sells, sized by value. Trades of $250,000 or more sit on a glowing pill.

## The order book

Eleven levels a side, asks above and bids below, each with its size, a running total and a depth bar, and the spread between them, live from Hyperliquid. Click a price and it becomes your limit price in the order form (and opens **Order settings** on **At my price**). That click only fills in the form; nothing is sent.

## The workspace

| Tab | What's in it |
| --- | --- |
| **Positions** | Perps and outcome positions in one table, with unrealised P&L summed. Perps columns: Size, Entry, Mark, P&L (ROE), Liq. price, Margin, TP / SL, Close. Hover a heading for what it means |
| **Open orders** | Resting limit orders ("Limit", "Limit · reduce only"), outcome orders, and a take profit or stop loss whose position is gone. **Cancel** each, or **Cancel all** |
| **History** | Every trade, perps and outcomes, one row per order (its fills summed), with the result after fees |
| **Predictions** | Hypertake's outcome markets on this coin first, then Polymarket's view: Price by date, Next moves, Odds of reaching |

## The prediction overlay

_Illustration: A price line up to a vertical Now marker, then marks ahead of it: a Polymarket median of 81.1K with its middle-50% band, a 5-minute window at 62% up in mint and a 15-minute window at 56% down in rose._

Press **Predictions** under the chart to turn the layer on (it's off at first, and remembered in this browser). The legend names what's drawn:

- **Polymarket median · middle 50%**: For each upcoming date, where Polymarket's "above ___ on <date>" markets put the price: a dot at the median, a bar for the middle 50%.
- **Polymarket Up or Down, by window**: Polymarket's short Up or Down markets, tagged by window, with their odds.
- **Hypertake Yes odds**: Hypertake's own outcome markets on this coin, at their strike and close time: mint when Yes is likelier, rose when No. Odds come from the order book when it's within 10¢, otherwise an estimate from the price, marked ≈. Only markets between 10% and 90% are drawn.

Polymarket data covers main-dex coins Polymarket has markets for: BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, HYPE, DOGE and ZEC. It's read-only: Hypertake doesn't trade on Polymarket. The phone's perps screens don't have this overlay.

## On the phone

> **Info**
> The phone app and the desktop terminal place the same orders through the same code and the same Hyperliquid account. The confirmation differs (one click on desktop, two taps on the phone), as do a few defaults, such as the starting leverage.
