# If Hypertake is offline

> What keeps working on Hyperliquid if Hypertake is down, and how to manage or withdraw your money with another interface

Source: https://hypertake.net/docs/security/if-hypertake-is-offline · Last updated: 2026-10-17

**If Hypertake goes offline, your money and positions are unaffected: they live in your Hyperliquid account.** Any Hyperliquid interface, including Hyperliquid's own app at [app.hyperliquid.xyz](https://app.hyperliquid.xyz), can show, close and withdraw them with the same wallet.

## What keeps working without Hypertake

| Item | Without Hypertake | Why |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Your USDC balance | Unchanged | It's in your Hyperliquid account, under your address. |
| Outcome shares | Unchanged, and settle as normal | Settlement happens on Hyperliquid; winning shares pay to your balance by themselves. |
| Take profits | Keep waiting and fill by themselves | A take profit is a resting sell on Hyperliquid's order book, not something Hypertake runs. |
| Perps positions | Keep running | Funding is still paid or received each hour, and liquidation still applies. |
| Perps limit orders, take profit and stop loss | Keep waiting and trigger by themselves | They rest on Hyperliquid. |
| The trading key's approval | Stays valid until it expires | It's recorded on Hyperliquid. You can remove it there. |
| The builder fee approval | Stays, but charges nothing | A builder fee is only charged on orders that name Hypertake's builder address, and only Hypertake sends those. |

> **Warning: Open perps positions still carry risk**
> An outage doesn't pause the market. A leveraged position can still be liquidated while you can't reach Hypertake, so if you can't wait, close or protect it with another interface.

## What stops

- **The pages.** Hypertake's server serves the website and phone app, so if it's down there's nothing to load.
- **Alerts.** Push notifications and in-app notifications come from Hypertake's server.
- **The instant first screen.** The markets snapshot that makes the home page appear at once comes from the server.

If a Hypertake page is already open when the server goes down, it keeps trading: orders go from your browser straight to Hyperliquid, and balances are read from Hyperliquid directly. Only alerts and the online count stop.

## How to reach your money elsewhere

1. **Open another Hyperliquid interface** Hyperliquid's own app is at [app.hyperliquid.xyz](https://app.hyperliquid.xyz). Other interfaces that support HIP-4 outcomes work too.
2. **Connect the same wallet** Use the wallet you use with Hypertake. There's nothing to export: your account is your address.
Result: Your balance, outcome shares and perps positions appear, because they're the same records on Hyperliquid.
3. **Close, cancel or withdraw** Sell or close what you need to, cancel resting orders, or withdraw USDC to your wallet. Each interface has its own screens and fees; follow its instructions.

> **Tip: Check your account without connecting anything**
> Hyperliquid's explorer shows any address's activity: open `https://app.hyperliquid.xyz/explorer/address/` followed by your address. Hypertake's phone receipts link there for the same reason.

## Removing Hypertake's approvals

You don't have to remove anything for your money to be safe, but you can. The trading key's approval can be removed on Hyperliquid (Hypertake's own messages point to its **More → API** page), or it simply expires 179 days after you approved it. The builder fee approval can be revoked through Hyperliquid too; see [Builder fee](https://hypertake.net/docs/security/builder-fee.md).
