Hypertake is an independent web interface for Hyperliquid's HIP-4 prediction markets (outcomes) and perpetual futures. You connect your own wallet; every order is placed, matched and settled on Hyperliquid, and your money stays in your own Hyperliquid account. Hypertake is not affiliated with or endorsed by Hyperliquid. Markdown of this page: https://hypertake.net/docs/money/connect-a-wallet.md. Full documentation index: https://hypertake.net/llms.txt

Connect a wallet
Which wallets work with Hypertake on desktop and phone, what connecting shares, and the one sign-in message on desktop
Connecting a wallet tells Hypertake your address, which is also your Hyperliquid account. There's no sign-up, email or ID check: the wallet you connect is the account you trade from, and connecting by itself can't move any money.
Which wallets work
Hypertake is two apps on one website: the desktop app, and a phone app that hypertake.net shows on screens narrower than about 1,050 pixels. They offer different wallet choices, because what works smoothly in a desktop browser doesn't always work on a phone.
| Wallet | Desktop | Phone |
|---|---|---|
| MetaMask | The browser extension; without it, a QR code to scan with the MetaMask app | Recommended. One tap opens the MetaMask app to approve; inside MetaMask's own browser it works like the extension |
| WalletConnect | A QR code to scan with any WalletConnect wallet app | A list of wallet apps to open: MetaMask, OKX Wallet, Trust Wallet, Rainbow |
| OKX Wallet | The extension, or a QR code for the OKX app | Through WalletConnect |
| Coinbase Wallet | The extension, or Coinbase's own window with a QR code. Regular wallets only, not smart wallets | Not offered |
| Other browser wallets | Any wallet the browser announces, such as Rabby or Brave Wallet, listed by name | Not offered |
Connect on desktop
Press Connect wallet
It's at the top right of every page. A window titled Connect a wallet opens: "Shares your address, then asks you to sign one message to turn on alerts. No gas, and it can't move funds."
Choose your wallet
Press MetaMask, WalletConnect, OKX Wallet, Coinbase Wallet or another wallet your browser lists. While Hypertake waits, the button reads "Open MetaMask to continue" (or your wallet's name). If the extension isn't installed, a QR code appears: scan it with the wallet's phone app.
Approve the connection in your wallet
Your wallet shows that hypertake.net wants to connect and will see your address. Approve it.
ResultA "Wallet connected" notice appears and your address replaces Connect wallet in the header. Your Balance and Available now show your Hyperliquid account.
Sign the sign-in message (optional)
Straight after connecting, your wallet asks you to sign one message. It's a signature, not a transaction: no gas, and it can't move funds. Decline it if you like; trading, deposits and withdrawals work without it.
Connect on your phone
Open Connect a wallet
Tap your account picture at the top right of any tab, then Connect a wallet. Anything that needs a wallet (Buy, Deposit) opens the same sheet. It offers two choices: MetaMask ("Opens the MetaMask app to approve") and WalletConnect ("Trust, Rainbow and other wallet apps").
Tap MetaMask, or WalletConnect and then your wallet app
MetaMask opens straight away. With WalletConnect, a screen titled Choose your wallet app lists MetaMask, OKX Wallet, Trust Wallet and Rainbow; tap Open beside yours. If your wallet app doesn't open, use Copy link and paste it into the app's WalletConnect scanner.
Approve, then come back
Approve the connection in the wallet app, then switch back to your browser. The waiting screen ("Continue in MetaMask") has an Open MetaMask button if you need it again.
Result"Wallet connected" appears with your address. Each later signature (turning on trading, a deposit, a withdrawal) reopens the wallet app, and you come back the same way.
What connecting shares
| Shared with Hypertake | Never shared |
|---|---|
| Your wallet's address | Your recovery phrase or private key |
| The network the wallet is on | Any permission to move funds |
| On desktop, a cookie with your address and last balance, so the header shows your figures as the page loads; cleared when you disconnect | Your name, email, or anything about you beyond the address |
The address is public on the blockchain anyway: anyone can look up a Hyperliquid account's balance and trades from it. Hypertake reads those public figures from Hyperliquid. Next time you visit, the same wallet reconnects silently, with no pop-up. See What we store for the full list.
The sign-in message on desktop
The message is a standard "Sign in with Ethereum" message (personal_sign). Signing it proves to Hypertake's server that you own the address, and starts a session in this browser (a cookie that lasts 30 days) for notifications about your positions. The text reads:
hypertake.net wants you to sign in with your Ethereum account:
0xYourAddress
Sign in to Hypertake for notifications about your positions. This doesn't send a transaction or cost anything.
URI: https://hypertake.net
Version: 1
Chain ID: 1
Nonce: (a one-time code)
Issued At: (the time now)Networks
You don't need to switch networks to connect or to trade. Hyperliquid's signatures (turning on trading, withdrawals) work on whatever network your wallet is on. Only a deposit needs Arbitrum One: Hypertake asks your wallet to switch to it, or to add it if the wallet doesn't have it yet. See Deposit.
Disconnect or switch accounts
- Desktop: press your address in the header, then Disconnect. Hypertake forgets the wallet, ends a WalletConnect or Coinbase session, and asks MetaMask to remove its permission for the site.
- Switching accounts: change the account in your wallet and Hypertake follows. Disconnecting from inside the wallet disconnects here too.
- One-tap trading stays on. Disconnecting doesn't remove the trading key from this browser: it stays approved until you turn it off or it expires. See Turn on one-tap trading.
Do I need an account or an email to use Hypertake?
No. Your wallet is your account. Hypertake asks for no email, name or ID.
Can connecting a wallet move my money?
No. Connecting shares your address only. Moving money always needs a separate signature you confirm in your wallet: a deposit, a withdrawal, or turning on trading (which itself can't withdraw).
Can I use a smart wallet or a Safe?
No. Hyperliquid can't verify signatures from smart-contract wallets, so Hypertake offers regular (externally owned) wallets only.
What happens if I decline the sign-in message?
Nothing else changes: you stay connected and can trade, deposit and withdraw. You just aren't signed in to Hypertake's server for notifications in this browser.
Which wallet should I use on a phone?
MetaMask is the most direct: one tap opens its app. Any WalletConnect wallet works too: choose WalletConnect, then your wallet app.
