Hypertake is an independent web interface for Hyperliquid's HIP-4 prediction markets (outcomes) and perpetual futures. You connect your own wallet; every order is placed, matched and settled on Hyperliquid, and your money stays in your own Hyperliquid account. Hypertake is not affiliated with or endorsed by Hyperliquid. Markdown of this page: https://hypertake.net/docs/outcomes/positions.md. Full documentation index: https://hypertake.net/llms.txt

How Hypertake shows your HIP-4 outcome positions: value at what selling brings now, P&L, payout, and after settlement

A position is the shares you hold on one side of one market. Hypertake reads them from your Hyperliquid account and values each at what selling it all would bring right now, through the real bids on the book, not at a middle price. That's the honest number: the money you could actually have.

What each figure means

Shares · bought at → now
"420 shares · bought at 55¢ → 61¢ now". Your whole shares, your average price, and the average price selling them all would get now.
Value now (Worth now)
What selling every share into the live bids would bring, before fees. Shares nobody is bidding for count as $0.
Profit / loss
Value now minus what you paid. It moves with the bids; it isn't your result until you sell or the market settles.
You paid (Paid)
What the shares cost you, as Hyperliquid records it.
If Yes wins
The payout ($1 per whole share) with the profit that would be, such as "$420.00 +$189.00".
Ends
"Ends today at 16:00", in the warning colour in the last hour; Settling once it has closed.

ExampleWhy value can be lower than the price

  • Ravi holds 1,000 Yes. The best bid is 61¢, but only for 300 shares; the next bids are 58¢ for 400 and 50¢ for 300.
  • Selling all of it would bring 300 × 61¢ + 400 × 58¢ + 300 × 50¢ = $565.
  • So Value now reads $565, an average of 56.5¢, not $610 at the best bid. That's what he'd really get, before fees.

Your balance includes your positions

Hypertake's Balance adds your cash, your perps and every outcome position at its sale value. It isn't Hyperliquid's own mark-to-market figure, so it can be lower than what another interface shows for the same account. Available is the USDC you can spend now. See Unified account.

Open orders

Portfolio → Open orders lists your resting outcome orders: the market, side, limit price (to a tenth of a cent), how much has filled, what it's worth at the limit, when it was placed, and Cancel. On Hypertake those are take profits. Limit buys you placed with another Hyperliquid interface show here too, and you can cancel them.

After the close

  1. Closed, not yet settled

Desktop shows Settling in place of Sell; the phone shows Awaiting result or Closed · result soon. You can't sell now.

  2. Settled

Hyperliquid converts your shares to USDC and they leave your positions by themselves.

ResultYour balance rises by the payout. The market's page shows Resolved, what each side paid and your result: "You made" or "You lost", with what you bought, sold before the close and had settled.

Why is my P&L negative right after buying?

You bought at the ask and positions are valued at the bid. The spread between them shows as an immediate small loss, which closes if the price moves your way.

Why does a position show $0 value?

Nobody is bidding for those shares right now. They still pay $1 each if your side wins.

Where is a position after the market settles?

Gone from your positions, with the payout in your balance. The market's page and Portfolio → History keep the record.
