Hypertake is an independent web interface for Hyperliquid's HIP-4 prediction markets (outcomes) and perpetual futures. You connect your own wallet; every order is placed, matched and settled on Hyperliquid, and your money stays in your own Hyperliquid account. Hypertake is not affiliated with or endorsed by Hyperliquid. Markdown of this page: https://hypertake.net/docs/outcomes/buying.md. Full documentation index: https://hypertake.net/llms.txt

How to buy Yes or No on a Hyperliquid prediction market with Hypertake, on desktop and phone, with every edge case
To buy, choose Yes or No, enter how many dollars to spend, and press Buy. Hypertake prices your order from the live order book at the moment you press and sends it to Hyperliquid as an order that fills immediately or is cancelled: you get shares at the prices on offer, or nothing, and no order is left waiting.
Before you start
- A connected wallet. See Connect a wallet.
- One-tap trading on. On mainnet that's two wallet signatures once per browser: approving Hypertake's fee (a 1% maximum; buys carry none), then a trading key that can trade but can't withdraw. See Turn on trading.
- USDC available on Hyperliquid. The same balance as perps. See Deposits.
- Mainnet. Outcomes trade only on Hyperliquid mainnet. The phone refuses outcome orders while the perps testnet switch is on; the desktop sends them to mainnet regardless.
Buy on desktop
Open the market
From Outcomes, click a card. Pressing a card's Yes or No opens the market with that side chosen.
Choose a side
Press Buy Yes or Buy No. The price on each button is that side's best ask.
ResultThe ticket opens with $10 in the amount: a starting point, not a minimum.
Set the amount
Type dollars, use − and + ($1 a press, $10 with Shift, faster when held) or the ↑ and ↓ keys, drag the slider over your available balance, or press Max.
ResultUnder the amount: "Buys 25 Yes at 40¢ avg". The summary updates as the book moves.
Check the summary
Average price, Shares, Pays if Yes wins, Profit if Yes wins (dollars and percent) and If Yes loses.
Press Buy
The button reads Buy 25 shares · $10.00. One click sends the order; there's no second confirmation on desktop.
ResultA notice: "Bought 25 Yes", "$10.00 at 40¢ average · pays $25.00 if Yes wins". The position appears under Your position.
Buy on the phone
Open the market
From the Outcomes tab or Search, tap a market.
Tap Yes or No
The two buttons at the bottom show each side's best ask.
ResultThe ticket opens full screen at $10, with Hypertake's own keypad.
Enter the amount
Use the keypad or the slider.
ResultTo win shows what your shares pay if you're right, with "N shares · avg X¢" and the profit.
Tap Buy, then confirm
Tap Buy 25 Yes · $10.00. It turns into Confirm · Buy 25 Yes with a bar running out over 5 seconds; tap again to send. Changing the amount or side disarms it.
ResultOrder filled (or Partly filled), with the shares, average price and what they pay.
How the order is placed
The order is signed by your trading key in your browser and goes straight to Hyperliquid's API. Signed orders expire 60 seconds after signing.
- Whole shares
- Hyperliquid's outcome shares have no decimals. Your amount buys as many whole shares as it can; anything left stays in your balance.
- Worst price
- The highest offer your amount reaches. The order's limit is 2% above it (never above 99.9¢), so a small move between your press and the match doesn't fail the order.
- Cost can differ slightly
- The share count is fixed when you press. If cheaper offers vanish in that moment, the same shares can cost up to about 2% more than the figure shown; anything beyond the limit is cancelled.
- No resting buy
- Hypertake has no limit buy for outcomes. If the shares aren't on offer within the limit, they aren't bought.
When the button won't let you buy
| Desktop says | Phone says | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| No one is selling Yes right now. | No one is selling Yes right now | The book has no offers on this side. Wait, or look at the other side. |
| Too little for one share at the best price on offer. | One share costs X¢ | Your amount is under the price of one share. |
| Only $X of Yes is on offer right now; buy less, or wait for more sellers. | Only $X on offer (under the amount) | The book runs out before your amount is spent. |
| Orders must be worth at least $1. | Orders start at $1 | Hyperliquid rejects outcome orders under $1. |
| You have $X available on Hyperliquid: deposit to buy this. | Deposit $X (opens Deposit) | Not enough USDC available. |
| — | Loading prices… | The phone has no fresh prices yet; it won't send an order on stale data. |
| Settling | This market has closed | Past the deadline: no new orders. |
Partial fills
If some of the offers your order expected are taken first, Hyperliquid fills what's left within your limit and cancels the rest. You keep the shares that filled and the unspent money stays in your balance. Desktop says "Bought 18 Yes of 25 … The rest wasn't on offer and was cancelled."; the phone shows Partly filled and how many "weren't on offer and were cancelled".
Fees on a buy
Hypertake charges nothing to buy an outcome, and Hyperliquid charges outcome fees only when a position is closed or settled, not when it's opened (Hyperliquid fees). The cost on the button is what leaves your balance. See Fees.
ExampleMaya buys $50 of No on a thin book
- No is offered: 40 shares at 55¢, then 60 at 58¢.
- Maya enters $50. The walk takes all 40 at 55¢ ($22.00), then 48 at 58¢ ($27.84): 88 shares for $49.84, 16¢ left unspent.
- Her worst price is 58¢, so the order's limit is 59.2¢. The phone warns "Size moves the price to 58¢" because that's more than 1¢ above the best offer.
- It fills in full: 88 No at about 56.6¢ average. If No wins, she gets $88.
Flow$50 typed → 88 whole shares walked (40 @ 55¢ + 48 @ 58¢) → one IOC at ≤ 59.2¢ → filled → pays $88 if No wins
Is $10 the minimum?
No. $10 is only where the ticket starts. The minimum is $1, which is Hyperliquid's rule for outcome orders.
Can I place a limit buy and wait for a lower price?
Not on Hypertake. Outcome buys fill now or are cancelled. Limit buys you place with another interface do show under Open orders, and you can cancel them there.
Can I buy both Yes and No?
Yes, they're separate holdings. Together a Yes and a No share always settle to $1, so holding both mostly costs you the spread.
Why did I get fewer shares than the ticket showed?
Someone took part of the offers between your press and the match. The rest of your order was cancelled, and the unspent money is still in your balance.
